Find Support After Tragedy

May 07, 2018

No one knows better than Military Service Members, Vets, and their loved ones how important it is to have people who have your back. Think about it: For Warfighters, trust in your battle buddies keeps you safe during some of the most dangerous moments, while friends and family keep things (and you!) moving—so you can focus on performing well. And the same goes for military spouses and kids who find strength in each other and get through the tough stuff better because of it.

But while each day certainly brings new challenges for the military community, support from others matters most for military families dealing with sudden and unimaginable grief.

It’s hard to be prepared when tragedy strikes your community, and even harder to know how to get through it. In the video below, Shauna Springer from Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) talks about what to expect when the unexpected happens and how to make sure you have the support you need along the way.
