Fuel Performance with No-Bake Energy Bites

Energy Bites are a tasty high-performance snack. They’re fun to make and easy to grab if you’re on the go. These treats provide a nutritious balance of carbohydrates, protein, fat, and fiber to help stave off hunger and fuel your day. They’re the perfect afternoon pick-me-up or post-workout fuel too. The best part: No cooking or baking is needed! Just mix, shape, and enjoy.

 
NO-BAKE ENERGY BITES
·         1¼ cups old-fashioned rolled oats (uncooked)
·         ½ tsp cinnamon
·         ½ Tbsp honey
·         3 Tbsp natural peanut butter
·         ½ cup mashed ripe banana (raw or frozen)
·         16 chocolate chips (optional)

Directions:

  1.  In a medium-sized bowl, combine the oats and cinnamon.
  2. In a separate bowl, mash the banana.
  3.  Add honey and peanut butter to the mashed banana.
  4. Add banana mixture to the oats mixture. Stir well.
  5. Shape into 8 uniform balls.
  6. If desired, add two chocolate chips on top of each ball.
  7. Store in sealed container and refrigerate for up to 1 week.


Makes 8 servings
